The Colour Monster

I love talking about feelings! Did you know I am a counsellor by training? πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸŽ“ I have been thinking lately about how I can use this platform for crayons πŸ– & mental health 🧠. It seems quite intuitive really, there are so many art-based resources and activities that are great tools for learning about big feelings and making space for them. I hope you will enjoy this shift in content. β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ

The first resource I would like to share is one of my favourite books about emotions! ✨🌈 The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas. ✨🌈 I’ve read this book with my own kiddo and clients alike. It’s about a monster whose colours (β€œemotions”) are all jumbled up and his little friend helps him sort them out. We learn about different emotions, a colour associated with them and how we might feel when these emotions visit us... plus, there is a cute little plot twist at the end! πŸ’ Have you had the chance to read this book yet? Let me know!
